Elizabeth A. Erickson is a Los Angeles family lawyer and an Associate at our Firm.
Ms. Erickson’s experience includes handling all aspects of family law, particularly relating to divorce, paternity issues and post-judgment modification matters. She also counsels high net-worth individuals and couples in complex financial matters and business interests as they pertain to intricate, California community property laws, and counsels parents in custody disputes.
Ms. Erickson represents some of the following individuals and/or their spouses:
Ms. Erickson’s practice is devoted exclusively to family law. She handles a wide variety of issues in the context of both litigation and settlement, including custody and visitation rights, child and spousal support, attorney fees, property control, division of assets, and domestic violence restraining orders. Previously, Ms. Erickson completed a public interest fellowship as a Staff Attorney at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, where she also interned during law school and continues to serve as a volunteer instructor on family law practice and procedures. Before graduating from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law, where she was honored as a Dean’s Merit Scholar and served as a Department Chief and Co-Chief Essays Editor for the Women’s Law Journal, Ms. Erickson worked as a Research Project Manager for the Department of Child Psychiatry at New York-Presbyterian Medical Center. She directed a pilot study of the long-term psychiatric impact of the 9/11 attacks on the children and family members of World Trade Center evacuees. Ms. Erickson also served as a volunteer counselor at Helpline, a New York City crisis and suicide prevention hotline. Ms. Erickson earned a Master of Arts degree from Stanford University in Sociology, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History, also from Stanford. The Los Angeles family lawyer is admitted to practice in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal and the Central District of California.
